Karen Elzinga no longer sends art works via couriers due to the lack of care taken by them for extra large artworks, instead she has taken $350 off the asking price for this work so that you can get it mounted at a framers closer to your home. 

Deep Summers Day, was derived from the flow painting process, where by Artist Karen Elzinga is inspired by her own previous works to create a new and gorgeous original  beach/ocean painting. 

Vivid and colourful, intricate and detailed there is so much in this painting that it all melts together so harmoniously and effortlessly. Karen is a colourist, she loved to work in a rainbow of colours and tones that produce a happy vibe. 

Karen has a unique style of working where by she paints the first layer, then etches the paint back to resemble that of an old washed up boat painted surface, she then delivers uncompromised detail using paint and ink pens. The work is then varnished with 4 layers of gloss varnish to bring a rustic finish  back to be new and shinny. 

The finish is so much better in person than appearing after photography, many of the etching detail is lost by the camera. All most all purchasers of Karen's work have described receiving their paintings by stating it looks even better than in the pictures.

Karen Elzinga has a Double Bachelors Degree in Art (Fine Art and Visual Culture) and has over 28 years of professional painting experience. Karen's work sells very quickly and because it takes so long to produce  (often many months to produce one painting) they are in limited supplies.  Karen sells both Australia wide and International.
