ABOUT ARTISAN LIFE in Colour
Hello and welcome. My name is Karen Elzinga and l am the creative director/ artist/designer and educator here at Artisan Life in Colour.
With over 30 years experience in the artistic landscape including a Bachelor of Art with double major (Fine Art and Visual Culture), l continue to practice as a professional artist.
I very much enjoy painting and my art is now purchased by collectors Australia wide, and internationally sent to both England and the USA. My forte lies in extra large scale acrylic paintings of abstract whimsical beach settings and movie mash up paintings.
Artisan Life in Colour is not all about selling art, it was born out of a desire to give back to the art community through art education.Artisan Life's aim is to provide an educational and artistic experience where both art lessons, art education and art and craft products come together in a creative space.
Artisan Life in Colour hopes to grow and expand into an extensive resource for the Fine Arts and Craft creative community and to provide resources to those beginner and emerging artisans and artists.
Child and youth Psychotherapy
Whilst my first love is creating and designing l also share a passion for intertwining my other sentiment of child and youth psychotherapy combining and working through the mediums of art, craft, and education to generate a very holistic, intentional, and beneficial alternative style of counselling to individuals.

I have a great deal of experience in trauma practice, trauma crisis intervention and behaviour management whilst also having a wealth of art and material practical knowledge to sucessfully combine art, craft, and therapy.
